Before I go any further, can I preface this with the simple and straightforward answer of: pretty much anyone over 18.
That’s an honest and realistic answer. From internet banking, to government identification apps, to license verification and email codes, as well as some cross-checks - they have (unfortunately) become somewhat of a necessity.
But let me tell you about the other side of the coin…
Rewind five days…
I was in an overseas train station about to board my train when something (as usual) displaced me… Before I knew it, I was boarding my train with a long queue behind me - a one-way street so to speak - when I suddenly realised something.
My phone was still sitting on the coffee counter.
Let’s make this short and to the point…
I have been without a phone for five days and counting… in an international country. And although uncomfortable, unpleasant, and inconvenient, I have found a way to continue on.
I didn’t die. I have happily travelled. And I have been able to continue to find ways to keep in close and (pretty) consistent touch with my loved ones…
Happy days… It is possible.
I guess why I am writing this is to get the message out to all of you - if I can do five days…
Why doesn’t every one of you try 30 minutes every day… and just hang out with your loved ones.
And don’t try tell me it’s too hard. :)
